Start day
The employee taps Start day. PinField records the time and GPS location, and begins tracking the work day.

During the day
You see them as in field, stationary or offline on the dashboard. Nobody has to send a location pin.

How does GPS attendance work for field employees?
The employee taps Start day in the PinField app when their work day begins and End day when it finishes. Each tap records the time and the GPS location, and the day appears in your attendance report with hours worked and distance travelled.
What if an employee forgets to end their day?
The next morning the app asks them to close the open day before starting a new one. Managers can also correct a work day, and every correction is saved with a note in the audit log.
Can I get an alert when someone starts late?
Yes. Set a reminder time, and PinField sends a WhatsApp alert to the employee’s manager and to you if they haven’t started their day by then.
Can I export attendance for payroll?
Yes. Export attendance for any date range to CSV and open it in Excel or Google Sheets, or import it into your payroll software.
